Blaine J. Burch is a founder and the managing partner of the Orange County, California law firm of Burch, Haddock, & Roll, LLP, where he provides personal, dedicated counsel to business owners, professionals and philanthropists with respect to income and estate tax issues that arise in the areas of business succession planning, wealth management, and charitable giving. 

Blaine developed experience working for the top estate planning law firms in Orange County.

Blaine advises his clients, while drawing on a wealth of knowledge gleaned from years of personal experience as an entrepreneur and business owner. Blaine received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University. Blaine quickly became the marketing director of a nationwide agri-business. In that capacity, Blaine helped develop product lines and headed up marketing campaigns with companies like Nestle, Nabisco, and Conagra Foods. 

After obtaining his Juris Doctor from the George Mason University School of Law (now the Antonin Scalia Law School) in Arlington, Virginia, Blaine went on to work at Mundell, Odlum & Haws, LLP, the premier boutique corporate litigation firm in San Bernardino, California. While in San Bernardino, Blaine founded a successful records management business, storing and managing corporate documents for local companies, cities, and counties. During law school, Blaine’s interest was piqued by tax law and how he could help families pass their businesses on to future generations. In 2010, Blaine opened his own law practice focusing on estate and small business planning, where he helped business owners and entrepreneurs organize and protect their companies and plan for the next generation.  Blaine went on to work at Matsen, Voorhees, Mintz, LLP, where he expanded his base of knowledge into asset protection and corporate formation and compliance.  Blaine also worked for two years at Brown and Streza, LLP, where he helped develop cutting-edge tax planning and asset protection strategies for some of Orange County’s wealthiest families. 

Blaine is also very involved with his family, including his wife and three daughters, and in the community as a member of the UCI Planned Giving Professional Advisory Council and member of the Orange County Council of Boy Scouts of America.

Todd Haddock

Todd Haddock approaches the practice of law with a wealth of experience. Todd graduated from Utah Valley University, where he earned a double major in business management and accounting. Following his undergraduate studies, Todd used his fluency in Russian while working as a regional manager for an international export company, exporting goods from the United States into Russia. Todd then spent multiple years as a real estate manager for national commercial banks involved in both residential and commercial mortgage finance.

Todd decided to attend Law School at Western State University. Immediately following law school, Todd entered private practice focusing on Family Law, Civil Litigation and Estate Planning. During this time, Todd earned valuable trial experience bringing dozens of trials to resolution including cases in family law court, civil court, and criminal court.

Todd has also applied his extensive knowledge to administrative law and in-house corporate counsel, while representing multiple firearms manufacturers and gun safety trainers.

Todd donates countless hours as a certified rifle instructor for the Boy Scouts of America and the California Department of Justice. Todd is married to his wife of over 20 years and is the proud father of two girls. Todd’s hobbies include spending time in the outdoors and restoring old cars.

Thomas Roll

Thomas Roll was admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court of California-Central District in 1984. Tom spent the first several years of his legal career in private practice, focused on real estate, landlord/tenant, personal injury, and business litigation. In 1990 Tom joined Xerox Corporation, where he was responsible for commercial law issues within the western United States.

After nine years with Xerox Corporation, Tom returned to private practice handling a variety of matters. Tom has been involved in hundreds of bench trials and multiple jury trials. His primary emphasis for the past several years has been estate planning and probate.

Tom has volunteered as a Temporary Judge since 1987 in the Orange County Superior Court, overseeing matters as assigned by the Presiding Judge such as: traffic, small claims, civil settlements, and probate. Tom takes numerous continuing educations classes and engages in the continuing education of the bar.

Tom is married and has four grown children and eight grandchildren.

Rachel Trotter has a BS in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and minored in Marriage, Family, and Human Development at Brigham Young University before working in property management and then transitioning into the legal field. She is a mom to three crazy kids and has been married to her high school sweetheart for almost 15 years. Rachel enjoys reading, traveling, working out, eating great cheese and chocolate as well as spending time with her family.

Paige Cartwright attended Brigham Young University and the American Academy of Dental Assisting before turning her attention to raising three beautiful daughters. Paige began her career as an assistant manager at a local paper supply company before moving on to work as an office administrator at the Starbucks Corporate Orange County regional office. Paige then entered the charitable sector by developing relationships for the Laguna Niguel Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a public relations specialist, where she collaborated with organizations such as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Meals on Wheels, Age Well Senior Services, Rise Against Hunger, Soka University, and the Clyde Wright Charity Golf Tournament to raise money to support non-profit organizations. Paige also works closely with the city councils of Aliso Viejo and Laguna Woods to help provide volunteers for multiple charitable causes. On top of all her charitable work, Paige loves to spend time kickboxing, doing yoga, water and snow skiing, and enjoying family time with her husband and daughters at the beach.

Taura attended Paralegal School at Platt College and graduated in 2005. In 2006 she started working at an estate planning firm in Mission Viejo. Taura then decided to move on to criminal defense. She worked in criminal defense for eight and a half years. Taura then started working in trust administration which is what she has been doing for the last six years. 

Taura has a 24-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son.

Organization, development, process, and bringing out the best in others are Sharla’s passions. Her background includes director of operations for a specialty pet food company, the president of non-profit women’s focused trade organization, and international trade business development. She began her career in New York City and San Francisco in publishing. Sharla has a degree from Brigham Young University in Communications and Business. She has been married for over 20 years and has 3 wonderful young adult children who love to watch and play collegiate volleyball.
